Ja Ja Ja: Club Night and Website

Ja Ja Ja Music was founded in November 2009 as a monthly club night at the Lexington in London, bringing the best emerging artists from the Nordic region to a UK stage. Since then, the concept has grown and been adapted in Berlin and Hamburg, and also as an annual event in Vienna.

More than 150 artists have appeared at the Ja Ja Ja club nights since its inception, including Aurora, , Vök, Niki and the Dove and Jaakko Eino Kalevi, who all performed their first London showcases at the night and have gone on to do outstanding things. Find an archive of all of previous Ja Ja Ja events here.

In September 2014, the Ja Ja Ja club nights expanded to Berlin, Germany and in September 2015, Hamburg was added as a third monthly night in the Ja Ja Ja calendar. Find out more at the Ja Ja Ja website.

www.jajajamusic.com is the website which supports the club nights and Ja Ja Ja’s further activities, such as the Ja Ja Ja Festival which was hosted at the Roundhouse in Camden in 2013 and as a multi venue event throughout London in 2014. Focussing primarily on promoting the activities of the artists performing at the Ja Ja Ja club nights and events, the website also publishes news of cutting edge music from the Nordic region, weekly gig guides, interviews, galleries and more.

Francine Gorman is the Editor-in-Chief of the website, assisted by Dani Charlton. Contributors to the Ja Ja Ja website include Derval McCloat, Austin Mahoney, Anna Andersson Björk, James Appleyard, Maren Tanke and Andrew Hannah.
